Brief History
JD Animations was formed as a sub-company of JC Productions in July of 2007 with the making of their first film, Motorcycle Movement. (that movie can be found in the archives under test movies.) JD Animations is a film company that is devoted to making Lego movies by the method of stop motion. JD Animations was on track to switch over to CGI in 2008, but has turned to a more classic, traditional look.

Reborn
After Quatro Monos was finished in Fall 2009, JD Animations had completely exhausted itself of movies. Before closing, they formed a new and better website, and closed their doors on movie making forever. But in January of 2011 the doors were re-opened, and the company was Reborn. Reborn is now found in their logo, with "Animating the World" out of the center.

New Standards
Since JD Animations has been reborn, the standards have jumped tremendously.
- Frame Rate: the average movie used to run at about 6-8. vs. now the lowest a movie has ran was 12, and the highest was 17! BIG difference!
- Video Quality: Movies used to be outputted into 360p, or 480p. vs. now ALL movies are outputted to full 1080p HD.
Not to mention, the sets for the movies now are over 300% larger, we shoot 5 times more frames for a movie of the same length, plots are thought through more, the list goes on and on. Because of all this, in May, 2011, JD Animations moved all the old movies to the Archives, next to the tests, unfinished, and failure movies.
